Pet Spay and Neuter Clinic

Save the Strays of Schuylkill secures appointments and offers transports to a local lower cost spay and neuter clinic to help get your pets fixed. We are not a veterinary clinic, we do not have a vet in our organization.  We are a rescue / foster organization, that offers transports to clinics as a community outreach program.  


  • You must live in Schuylkill County


  • ALL cats must be at least 3.5lbs


  • Your pet does not need to be up to date on vaccines to use our clinic.


  • Cats must be 5 years and younger,  and healthy.  Cats 6 yrs and older, or with known medical condition will require surgery presurgical bloodwork, to ensure healthly enough to undergo surgery.  This bloodwork must be done in advance and reviewed prior to surgery. Bloodwork is not included in clinic fees ans must be paid in advance.    


  • We do not accept any pure breed cats ( examples include: Maine Coone, Bengals, Sphynx, and Rag Dolls. 


  • Pet Cats MUST arrive in a hard sided plastic carrier. NO backpaks, soft sides or cardboard carriers or dog crates. Please line the carrier with a towel or newspaper and label carrier with your name and pet’s name.

 

  • We do not accept any pure breed cats ( examples include: Maine Coone, Bengals, Sphynx, and Rag Dolls

Pet Neuter: $75 Pet Spay $85
1 year Rabies vaccine / FVRCP
De-wormer & Flea Treatment


Pet EAR TIP (Indoor / Outdoor Pets)

Neuter: $65  EAR TIP  Spay $75
1 year Rabies vaccine / FVRCP
De-wormer & Flea Treatment


$5 donation for transporting not included.


* Appointment scheduled are base on intake date, and urgency  (case by case  a call or txt regarding your appointment with a week in advance notice. 


Additional Pet Services

During your cat's appointment a brief exam is completed to ensure cat is well enough for procedure, included in the cost of surgery.


Add On Services Available: 


 FeLV/FIV (feline leukemia/AIDS) test: $30

 Microchip: $25 at time of surgery

   

Transport donation.  We are a non-profit and we provide transports to the clinics, the costs do not reflect transportation to the clinics.  We kindly ask that you make a donation for transporting your cats to your appointments for you. 


If you require pick up at your home, an additional Pick Up fee will be applied.   If available by transporters for that weeks clinic.


*** Pick Up Donation Fee $15 per cat.
