A New Chapter for Save the Strays of Schuylkill
Every day, we receive heartbreaking calls and messages about neglected, abused, and abandoned animals throughout Schuylkill County. While we've been able to rescue, provide medical care, rehabilitate, and find loving forever homes for so many deserving cats, we know we can—and must—do more.
This September, we're taking the next step.
One of our dedicated members will be attending Humane Officer Training. Although the training is costly, it will allow Save the Strays of Schuylkill Cat Rescue to expand our mission beyond rescue.
As a certified Humane Officer, we won't just be able to save, treat, and rehome animals—we'll also be able to investigate cruelty and neglect cases, hold those responsible accountable, and help ensure animals receive the care and protection they deserve.
This is a huge milestone. It will establish the first Humane Officer based in Schuylkill County, helping fill a critical need for our community and the animals who depend on us.
